Certified Family Partner (CFP) Supervisor Training Virtual: August 12, 2022

This virtual training is being sponsored by HHSC Peer and Recovery Services Programs. 

Eligibility Requirements: Registrants must be supervisors of Certified Family Partners (CFPs).

The Certified Family Partner Supervisor Training is designed to give individuals who supervise Certified Family Partners (CFPs) information and empowerment. Supervisors will gain knowledge on the functions of a Certified Family Partner, including what is and is not a part of their duties and responsibilities. Supervisors will gain knowledge of what to look for to hire CFPs that are properly skilled, adequately trained and emotionally ready to work side by side with other Legally Authorized Representatives (LAR's) in order to help families work toward wellness and resilience. Supervisors will be trained on topics ranging from desired qualifications of CFPs and proper hiring practices, to duties and responsibilities of CFPs, to office and field supervision as it relates to Certified Family Partners.

This virtual training provides 6 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
