This virtual training is designed for professionals who may not be responsible for developing service plans but who are providing person-centered support to people in recovery and are expected to contribute to the development of service plans (e.g. therapists, peer providers, housing managers). This is the required training for HCBS Providers.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of this evidence-based practice – including the importance of hope, autonomy, and supporting the dignity of risk. Participants can expect small group discussions with professionals in a variety of roles, scenario-based application of concepts, and practice documenting how the services they provide can be included on the recovery plan.

This training meets the HHSC Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) training requirement for Providers only. Recovery Managers must attend the 2-day PCRP training.

This virtual training provides 9 hours of Continuing Education Credits and 3 Ethics Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist, and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
