Engaging families and caregivers of youth in RTC is an essential component of effective treatment. However, engaging families is often easier said than done and not all engagement strategies are created equally. This workshop will introduce participants to research backed family-focused practice standards associated with improved program performance and youth outcomes in residential care. Using a learning collaborative model, small group discussion, and interactive skills-based exercises, participants will develop a family engagement toolkit focused on overcoming barriers and creating goals and action plans to support a culture of family engagement in their RTC.

This virtual training provides 3 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
