An Introduction to Peer Support

This module explores mental health peer support, including its history, key functions of what peer supporters do and don't do, common obstacles encountered in implementing peer support services in mental health settings, and strategies for overcoming those obstacles.

This module provides 0.5 hour of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this online course, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
