Best Practices in Mental Health Crisis Response for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Virtual: June 30, 2025

People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are more likely to experience mental health crises when compared to the general population. To fully assess, intervene, and de-escalate in crises involving people with IDD, modifications and accommodations to common approaches must be employed. This workshop will provide an overview of the presentation of common mental health conditions in people with IDD, considerations for stabilizing people in crisis, and techniques for completion of crisis assessments.
