This virtual training is being sponsored by the HHSC Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Programs. SUD contractors have priority for this training.
This interactive training applies a syndemic framework to examine the co-occurrence of domestic violence and substance use disorders within the context of social determinants of health and structural inequities. Participants will explore how these intersecting factors shape survivor experiences, health outcomes, and access to care, highlighting the importance of integrated, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches centered on safety, healing, and recovery.
