Fair Housing and Reasonable Accommodations

This eLearning training will provide a description of fair housing laws as they relate to housing for individuals with disabilities, and how and when a reasonable accommodation request should be submitted. It will focus on helping individuals with disabilities overcome barriers to housing due to prior criminal histories, poor credit and/or negative tenant histories. This eLearning training is intended for MCO service coordinators, case managers and other staff engaged in helping Medicaid beneficiaries with long-term service and support (LTSS) needs, including those transitioning from facilities, locate and apply for affordable housing.

This eLearning training provides 1 hour of Continuing Education Credit for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this online course, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
