An Introduction to Trauma Informed Care (TIC) for Behavioral Health Providers Virtual: January 11, 2023

This Trauma Informed Care (TIC) training will provide an overview of trauma and the principles of TIC. The evidence-based training will discuss the effects of trauma on physical and behavioral health and highlight methods for using TIC to identify and meet individuals’ needs during care for a behavioral health condition. Finally, this workshop will identify the role TIC can play in an individual’s recovery.

The training is specifically tailored for staff working with individuals impacted by behavioral health conditions, including those with only a basic level of experience with trauma survivors.

This virtual training provides 3.25 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
