This virtual training is being sponsored by the HHSC Residential Treatment Center (RTC) Project. Staff of children’s RTCs contracted with the HHSC RTC Project have priority for this training. If you do not work for a Children’s RTC contracted with HHSC, your registration may be cancelled depending on availability.
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, goal-oriented method of communication with particular attention to the language of change. It is designed to strengthen an individual’s motivation for and movement toward a specific goal by eliciting and exploring the person’s own arguments for change. This brief introduction will provide participants with a beginning point from which to learn MI.
Cancellations, Substitutions and Refunds Policy:
Live In Person/Virtual Trainings:
• A colleague may be substituted at no extra charge if Centralized Training is notified at least two business days before the training.
• Requests for refunds for an in-person/virtual workshop must be received 72 hours prior to the workshop.
Self-Paced Online Trainings:
• No refunds are offered for self-paced online trainings.
