Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) Training of Trainers : August 30-September 1, 2021

Training Location: Zoom Meeting

Webcam (preferably not a cell phone/tablet) and audio are required for participation.

This virtual training is being sponsored by HHSC Peer and Recovery Services Programs. Certified Family Partners (CFP) have priority for this training.

The goal of this Training of the Trainers (TOT) process is to give new Organizational Training (OT) background knowledge, research, skills and experience to provide the Nurturing Parenting Program 3-day facilitator training and technical assistance within their own agency setting. Please note this training is limited to training trainers to work within their own agencies.

Eligibility Requirements:

Ideal applicants for this training include persons who are currently employed as Certified Family Partners at their agency and have at least three (3) years’ experience in direct implementation of Nurturing Parenting Programs. Therefore, you must submit the 2021 Organizational Training Candidate Application and attest to the following:

• Understand that attendance and participation at this training will prepare you to train staff within your agency/organization only.

• Have at least three (3) years’ experience in direct implementation of Nurturing Parenting Programs.

• Be able to be fully present during presentations and agree to complete practice assignments.

Once your 2021 Organizational Training Candidate Application has been uploaded to your www.centralizedtraining.com account, it will be reviewed and you will be notified via an email if you are accepted to be a participant in the workshop. The 2021 Organizational Training Candidate Application is made available to you on your Centralized Training account once you have registered.

This virtual training provides 16.5 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
