This virtual training is being sponsored by the HHSC Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Programs. SUD contractors have priority for this training.
This training will allow participants to conceptualize substance use disorders from a DSM5 perspective. Participants will identify ways to differentiate between substance use diagnoses and mental health diagnoses despite overlap in symptom presentation. Participants will identify varying levels of care and treatment options for those living with co-occurring disorders based on their individual needs.
This virtual training provides 3.75 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
