PIER Model: Multi-Family Psychoeducational Group Treatment: July 20-22, 2026

Intended for all staff who provide services through CSC-FEP.

Training Overview:
Multifamily Group Psychoeducation is a family integrated treatment model for major mental illness focusing on psychotic disorders. The training includes one year of monthly supervision with one of the trainers. Over the course of the 3-day, 18 hour training, participants will learn the theory and evidence-basis for the Multifamily Group Psychoeducation model. At the end of the training, they will have the tools to conduct joining session with families, lead an education workshop, and follow a structured ongoing group format. With a combination of didactics, demonstrations and role plays, this interactive training offers a dynamic training experience with all the tools needed to implement the model.

 Consultation Calls:
The training includes one year of monthly supervision with one of the trainers. Consultation calls will be monthly at an agreed upon time and will start in August.

Participants who attend the full training, co-lead an MFG group for one year, and demonstrate basic understanding and competency in the model will be certified by the PIER Training Institute as Multi-Family Psychoeducational Group Practitioners.

Cancellations, Substitutions and Refunds Policy:

Live In Person/Virtual Trainings:

• A colleague may be substituted at no extra charge if Centralized Training is notified at least two business days before the training.

• Requests for refunds for an in-person/virtual workshop must be received 72 hours prior to the workshop.
