Registrants must be certified Peer Specialists (MHPS or RSPS).
Every interaction presents an opportunity to build trust, demonstrate integrity, and support recovery. This training provides peer support professionals with practical tools for making ethical, recovery-oriented decisions in the complex situations they encounter every day. Participants will explore the role of ethics in peer support, examine healthy boundaries, and learn a structured ethical decision-making framework that can be applied to real-world peer support dilemmas.
The course also addresses confidentiality, social media, and digital professionalism through the lens of peer values. Participants will strengthen their understanding of organizational and personal responsibilities for protecting privacy, examine how culture influences perspectives on confidentiality, and reflect on their own digital boundaries. By the end of the training, participants will be better equipped to make thoughtful, ethical decisions that protect relationships, uphold trust, and support the well-being of both them and the people they serve.
