How to use Mindfulness and Radical Acceptance to facilitate recovery for CSC for FEP Only Virtual: June 7, 2024

This training is for CSC-FEP Providers ONLY.

Mindfulness and Radical Acceptance are potent and popular tools to facilitate recovery. Mindfulness involves learning to deliberating and nonjudgmentally be in the present moment. Radical Acceptance is a crisis survival skill that involves moving from nonacceptance to improving the situation. This integrative course will focus on teaching Mindfulness from the perspective of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Radical Acceptance from the perspective of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Themes from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy will be folded in as well. Clinicians will learn how to teach and troubleshoot barriers to learning mindfulness. Acceptance-based strategies including values clarification will be reviewed in the context of tolerating discomfort in the service of building a life worth living. Radical Acceptance with complex clinical situations will be reviewed and demonstrated. The focus of the course is on applied learning with case examples, demonstrations, and activity.

• A colleague may be substituted at no extra charge if Centralized Training is notified at least two business days before the training.

• Requests for refunds for an in-person/virtual workshop must be received 72 hours prior to the workshop.

Self-Paced Online Trainings:

• No refunds are offered for self-paced online trainings.
