Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) - Virtual: June-July 2022

This 4-day (6 hours per day, over 4 weeks) virtual training is intended for providers working with children at a HHSC contracted Residential Treatment Center (RTC) or a Local Mental/Behavioral Health Authority (LMHA/LBHA).

This course will give an overview of current understanding of interpersonal neurobiology in how the brain optimally develops, connects, and heals in trust-based relationships as well as to the effects of abuse, neglect, and dysfunction of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on brain development and contributing secondary behaviors. Attendees will also develop a basic understanding of the principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and how these principles are foundational for secure attachment and establishing new pathways for connection and successful behavior patterns.

This virtual training provides 24 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
