Understanding and Responding to Work Related Trauma, Stress, and Burnout Virtual: October 18, 2022

Training Location: Zoom Meeting

Webcam and audio are required for participation.

10:00am-12:00pm CST

Trainer: Amy Cunningham

This virtual training is being sponsored by the HHSC Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Programs. SUD contractors have priority for this training.

Through this virtual training, you will learn to recognize stress, start establishing a better stress perspective, learn to identify signs and symptoms of burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and Moral Injury, and create a personalized resilience strategy you can begin using to help you on a daily basis and later during difficult times. Rather than letting difficulties, traumatic events, or failure overcome you and drain your resolve, highly resilient people find a way to change course, emotionally heal, and continue moving toward their goals. Resilience is a skill and, like any skill, can be built daily through intentional habits. Implementing micro habits and purposeful practices will increase your resilience and lead to increased self-compassion, physical activity, stress management, reductions in the occurrence of compassion fatigue, and an increase in work productivity.

This virtual training provides 2 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of this virtual training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
